YEAR OF FAITH CATECHESIS

On 3oth January, 2013, during the audience in the Vatican, the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, continued with his Year of Faith Catechesis. During lat week's Catechesis, the Holy Father introduced us to the Creed, beginning with the article of faith, "I Believe in God". Last week, he proceeded with the them, "the Father Almighty".

The Holy Father says that, despite the crisis of fatherhood in many societies, the Scriptures show us clearly what it means to call God “Father”.  God is infinitely generous, faithful, and forgiving; he so loves the world that he has given us his only Son for our salvation.

As “the image of the invisible God” (Col 1:15), Jesus reveals God as a merciful Father who never abandons his children and whose loving concern for us embraces even the Cross.  In Christ, God has made us his adopted sons and daughters.

A full text of Catechesis by the Holy Father can be found on this blog on the Year of Faith page. Please have a look at this and share this message with others.
